Catechized Policy
Our AI Policy
We do not use AI in our translations or our covers. Everything in a Catechized edition is drawn from the Christian tradition itself.
Why This Matters
The Christian Tradition Delivered Monthly
Catechized exists to make beautiful editions of the primary sources from Church history accessible to more Christians than ever before. The Church Fathers should not be hidden away in large academic volumes. We retrieve these works from the Christian tradition and place them in the hands of ordinary readers, so we can learn directly from the writings of the saints through whom God has worked.
In the age of AI, we believe the works of Church history are more important than ever. Bookstores and digital marketplaces are increasingly filled with AI-generated content that often serves little purpose beyond monetary gain. Reading a primary source, rather than a summary of it, can be a transformational experience, and that experience depends on the text and the art being genuine.
Our Translations
The Words of the Saints Themselves
No text in a Catechized edition is written, translated, or rewritten by AI. We publish the words of the saints themselves, never an AI summary or paraphrase standing in their place, so that you read the Fathers directly, as the Church has received them.
Our Covers
Art Retrieved From Church History
No Catechized cover is AI-generated or merely “inspired by” Church history. Every cover is retrieved directly from the tradition itself: historic Christian paintings, icons, mosaics, engravings, and other works of sacred art.
Our Aim
Everything From the Tradition
What we place in your hands comes from the tradition itself, not from a machine imitating it. East and West alike, we draw from the whole inheritance of the Church, because if you are a Christian, the early Church is your tradition.
